When the Path Isn’t Clear, Keep Creating
Navigating Uncertainty in Creativity & Career
As I sit and reflect on the past few months of 2025, I can’t help but feel frustrated with certain outcomes that have unfolded. They’re not what I had envisioned. I’ve been tirelessly searching for a new contract in my career, and my creativity feels non-existent.
In 2024, I was on a high—thriving in my career, business, and creative work. Last May, I was flown out to Vancouver to speak on my first-ever business panel as a business owner. I had the chance to connect with successful leaders in the community, share my journey, and stand center stage in a room filled with people who had built names for themselves. It was a defining moment.
For those who don’t know, I own a small media company called Creatus Media (Latin for “create us”), where I collaborate with small businesses, brands, and non-profits to amplify their services, products, and initiatives through content creation. In 2024, I built momentum—securing deals, landing opportunities, and even stepping into an exciting job after completing my HR Management certification. I felt unstoppable.
But with every high comes a season of uncertainty, and I wasn’t prepared for that.

Uncertainty in your creative journey or career can feel frustrating—like standing at a crossroads with no signs pointing the way. But what if uncertainty isn’t a roadblock, but an invitation? An invitation to experience the unknown.
Is it scary? Yes.
Is it necessary? Absolutely.
As I listen to a Neville Goddard video about the Power of Assumption where he explains how we instinctively seek validation from the physical world. We feel accomplished when we can show our success—posting about a new job on LinkedIn, sharing a conference speech in a 7-second Instagram reel, or announcing a business launch on a podcast. We celebrate these wins, yet deep down, we wonder: When will it be my turn?
And when we don’t see immediate change, we retreat into lack and doubt.
Lately, I’ve caught myself doing just that—focusing on what’s missing. My abundant mind, wired for possibility, slipped into scarcity:
❌ “I don’t have a contract.”
❌ “I don’t have clients.”
❌ “Nothing is working.”
❌ “I can’t catch a damn break.”
❌ “I need a breakthrough.”
This mindset interrupts our process. The truth is, the outer world adjusts to our internal state. If we operate from lack, life will mirror that scarcity back to us.
✨ Truth Serum:
Some of the best breakthroughs happen in the unknown. When we surrender control and trust the process, we create space for clarity, inspiration, and new opportunities.
If you truly feel fulfilled before the outcome arrives, you won’t feel the need to chase or beg for it. The right opportunities, people, and circumstances will flow to you—without luck, without coincidence—just alignment.

Practices to Navigate Uncertainty:
✨ Journaling – Write about your fears, ideas, and what excites you. Clarity often comes through reflection.
✨ Visualization – Imagine your ideal outcome. Even if the path isn’t clear, setting an intention can guide your next steps.
✨ Creative Play – Try something new without pressure—sketch, dance, brainstorm, or create freely. Movement sparks inspiration.
✨ Mindful Action – Take one small step toward your goal, even if you’re unsure where it will lead. Progress > Perfection.
✨ Trust & Surrender – Let go of the need to control every outcome. Sometimes, the universe surprises you in the best ways.
What’s one small action you can take today despite the uncertainty?
